Tamara has been baking since she was fifteen years old. It's impolite to ask a lady her age, so we'll just say that by now she's accumulated a fair amount of experience. Long the hit of vegan potlucks and other get-togethers that are really just excuses to eat, she's been told for years by people close to her and otherwise that she should bake professionally. Eventually she gave in to peer pressure and Brunie's Bakery was born.
Brunie's Bakery is committed to the idea that there is no excuse for sub-standard vegan baked goods. It's never OK to eat a dry, under-sweetened, oat-covered abomination masquerading as a muffin just because it's free of animal ingredients. To that end, everything from Brunie's is 100% vegan (that means no eggs, dairy, honey, or anything else from animals) and pleasing to all of your senses. If it doesn't taste, smell, look, and feel great then we won't serve it. We're working on making things sound good, but that's proving to be more challenging than any of our food researchers could have foreseen. But it's not just your palate that we care about. Because we want our customers to live long, healthy, lives full of purchases from Brunie's we do not use any refined sugars, artificial colors or sweeteners, or trans-fats in our confections. Only the finest premium (and mostly organic) ingredients find their way into our treats.
As vegans ourselves, we understand how hard it can be for people with allergies or other dietary considerations to find delicious deserts.
